Facial beauty analysis and intrinsic skin aging by beauty hormones dis-regulation - Short Science articles

Facial Beauty Hormones

Facial beauty analysis to estimate the beauty of face covers several parameters. Health, attractiveness, and beauty of skin are examined during analysis to categorize different stratum of skin beauty on the basis of climate and geographical details of the residential area of personage.

Health, attractiveness, and beauty of skin are closely related to self-esteem, mental wellbeing, daily activeness, and healthy social relationships. Good mental health and physical activity both are necessary for healthy and medically fit body. Beauty and health of dermal skin directly depend upon the biosynthetic activity of the skin. This biosynthetic activity of skin closely coupled with normal levels of beauty hormones.

Beauty hormones have a direct effect on skin elasticity, firmness, and dermal skin moisture. Any dysregulation in beauty hormones can lead to dermatological skin disorder or skin dryness. This dysregulation of beauty hormones may be caused by anxiety, any psychiatric or oxidation stress, and any physiological disorder. The normal level of melatonin, thyrotropin, estrogen, somatotrophin, testosterone, and dehydroepiandrosterone contribute to the beauty and health of skin and body. The normal level of these hormones prevents intrinsic aging if the extrinsic photoaging has been controlled by anti-photoaging agents.

Roles of Beauty Hormones in Skin and body Beauty:-

Melatonin that is basically released from an endocrine gland "pineal gland" normally regulates sleep cycle of an individual. Normal sleep cycle reduces stress, regularize normal blood pressure, and eases feelings related to anxiety. Thus indirectly contributes to the health of body and skin and maintain youth at the cellular level.
The biosynthetic activity of skin is directly related to the normal level of beauty hormones.

Melatonin:

Basically, Melatonin hormone regulates the sleep cycle and wakefulness but it also plays an essential role in maintaining youthfulness at the cellular level and delays early menopause in women.
Melatonin also regulates normal blood pressure to prevent depression that may indirectly affect the dermal beauty of skin and aging.
Melatonin controls and synchronizes the endocrine system and signals the brain and digestive system to regulate normal cellular functions.
Secretions of Melatonin generally decreases after the 40s in women that suggests its role in the aging process.

Thyrotrophin:

Thyroid stimulating hormones is responsible for a healthy thyroid gland. The secretions of the thyroid gland and the thyrotrophin regulate the metabolism of the body and maintain body temperature. Apart from thermoregulation, thyrotropin influences development, growth, and reproduction system in individuals.
These primary functions influence the youthfulness and aging of cells indirectly. After menopause, the blood plasma level of thyrotrophin decreases that is the main reason for dry, wrinkled and unhealthy skin.

Estrogen:

The main function that estrogen performs is the regulation of the menstrual cycle and the development of secondary sexual characteristics in females. It also maintains the cardiovascular system and normalizes density of bone tissues. As normal estrogen level prevents early menopause so it also plays an indispensable role in delaying aging.
Estrogen promotes skin moisture and elasticity of the skin by regulating collagen deposition in dermal tissues of the skin.

Dehydroepiandrosterone:

DHEA is a commonly known and most abundant steroid hormone in humans and its main function is androgenic but it also contributes to the beauty of an individual by stimulating oil glands that give protection and shiny look to the epidermis of the skin.
DHEA regulates body metabolism and promotes weight loss by boosting extra fate burning. DHEA also prevents osteoporosis, resists stress,  and increases muscle tone. DEHA plays a vital role in achieving a slender body by regulating the volume of lipid tissues in various body parts.

Somatotrophin:

Somatotrophin that is released by the pituitary gland positively contributes to facial beauty and health. It maintains the youthfulness of skin cells and provides elastic and tight skin dermis. It also contributes to the slim body by regulating lipid tissue volume in the body.

Testosterone:

Testosterone regulates emotional behavior and metabolism. It also promotes natural exfoliation of skin dermis and skin cell regeneration. Testosterone provides strength to bones and joint tissue and manages collagen deposition in tissues of the body.
It enhances facial beauty by contributing to skin smoothness and softness.

Facial beauty tips:

Both extrinsic and intrinsic factors influence facial beauty and attractiveness, so, here are some beauty tips for face glow and attractiveness.

Control of Extrinsic Factors

Extrinsic photolytic factors mostly damage dermal skin cells and promote skin dryness. Pollutants also drastically damage skin cells and promote acne. First of all proper cleanliness of skin dermis is necessary to remove and avoid all germs, chemical pollutants, and dust particles. Normal skin soap containing glycerine and potassium salts contents is a better choice for this purpose.
Some natural herbs have photoprotective properties against extrinsic aging. Natural herb extract contributes to stimulation, migration, and growth of fibroblast skin cells that provide firm and elastic skin.

Control of Intrinsic Factors

Beauty hormones are intrinsic factors that influence facial beauty and skin aging. Mental well-being, internal happiness, and a good/healthy diet can enhance facial beauty.
Exercise regulates mental state and hormones of the body and diet contributes to coping with free radicles. Exercise also contributes to the slender body by burning extra fats through normal metabolism.

A healthy diet contributes to normal collagen synthesis. Diet enriched with omega-3 fatty acids contains high antioxidant properties that help in scavenging free radicles, B-carotene containing diet have some bleaching properties that contribute to attractive skin and body. Water cleanses nitrogenous waste products from the body that contributes to a healthy body  Healthy diet also regulates facial beauty hormones that promote attractiveness and beauty of skin.

Therapeutic and pharmacological Potentials of Bio active Peptides- Interesting science information

Bioactive peptides are fragments of precursor inactive proteins that show specific biological activities and stimulates body functions when specific proteolytic enzymes cleave and modify them into biologically active peptides.  bioactive peptides may have some hormone- or drug-like singling properties due to which they act as regulatory products of inactive parent proteins and may influence the physiological activities of the body and may trigger some specific physiological responses. Sources of Biologically active peptides Bioactive peptides are immensely found in food derived from various sources. Some common sources of biologically active bio peptides are listed below. 1-       Fungi Some endophytic fungi are found producing valuable bioactive compounds. These compounds have some nutraceutical, therapeutic and ...

Endorphins combat stress and produce pleasure and well-being

Endorphins are endogenous hormones which are commonly known as happy chemicals as they produce a state of pleasure. Endorphins have opioid-like characteristic and it resembles morphine. Endorphins as a neuropeptide are released from body endogenously to combat stress. It is commonly known as natural painkiller produced by the body itself to relieve pain and stress. Endorphin was first discovered in the 1970s. Endorphins have their own specific binding or receptor sites that are known as µ-receptors and naloxone is used as a common clinical antagonist to study the effects of endorphins. Types of Endorphins: Endorphins are generally classified into four types on the basis of type and number of amino acids present in the polypeptide chain of endorphins. 1-       Alpha- endorphin 2-       Beta-endorphin 3-       Gamma- endorphin 4-       Sigma endorphin β-endorphins are ...

Objectives, principles guidelines and benefits of food fortification or food enrichment program

Why the food fortification program is important for the health of a community? The answer lies in the fact that 50% of metabolic diseases in developing and underdeveloped countries are caused due to malnutrition. Last year. more than 700 children died due to starvation in Thar ( Sindh ). Starvation is a principle reason for malnutrition in children of the affected regions. World food and agriculture organization have issued alarming starvation statics of some African countries although total world food production is enough to support global food requirements. Starvation or malnutrition is specifically related to deficient food intake which ultimately results in metabolic diseases linked with micronutrient deficiency. Starvation can be lethal as it may cause permanent organ loss due to severe deficiency of water and essential nutrients. Severe malnutrition can result in the death of the affected individual. The initiative of Food Fortifi...
